Data Controller

iOLAP d.o.o and its parent company iOLAP, Inc. (together “iOLAP”, “we” or “our”) is committed to protecting the security and privacy of your personal data during the candidate selection process. This Privacy Notice’s purpose is to explain: (a) how and why we collect your personal data during the candidate selection process, (b) what we use that personal data for; and (c) what your rights are in relation to that personal data. iOLAP processes your personal data in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation, as a Data Controller.

iOLAP has appointed a Data Protection Officer to oversee compliance with this Privacy Notice. For all inquiries and complaints regarding the security and privacy of your personal data please contact our Data Protection Officer Ozana Olujić at oolujic@iolap.com. If you are unsatisfied with the response that you receive in relation to any issues that you raise with our Data Protection Officer, you may also have the right to make a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to update this privacy notice and we will provide you with a new privacy notice when we make any substantial updates.

Data Privacy

iOLAP uses TalentLyft, an application developed by AdoptoTech Ltd. (referred to in this Privacy Notice as “TalentLyft”), as part of our candidate selection process.

TalentLyft, acting as a Data Processor, processes all candidate personal data at our request and based on our instructions.

iOLAP and TalentLyft have signed a personal data processing agreement to secure and protect your right to data privacy.

TalentLyft may also, in certain circumstances, act as a Data Controller when processing your personal data. Please refer to TalentLyft’s privacy notice for further information.

Personal Data We Collect and Process

When you use TalentLyft, iOLAP collects and processes the following categories of personal data about you:

The data you fill out in your job application, including name, surname, title, personal photo, position, hyperlinks to social networks and to your online repositories for coding projects, e-mail address, phone number, educational background, work experience, CV.

Some of the personal data listed above is mandatory for us to be able to consider your application or to comply with certain legal obligations. Failure to provide or allow us to process this mandatory personal data may affect our ability to accomplish the purposes stated in this Privacy Notice, and we therefore may not be able to take your application further.

Please note that we do not intend to process any special categories of personal data (such as information about racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data, data concerning health or data concerning sex life or sexual orientation) or any information about criminal convictions via TalentLyft.

Data collection purpose

We only process your personal data where applicable law permits it or requires it. In the context of the candidate selection process, we may collect and process your personal data via TalentLyft to decide whether to enter into an employment contract with you or where the processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation. We may also process your personal data to pursue legitimate interests, provided your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests. The situations in which we will process any personal data collected by you via TalentLyft are set out below:

Verification of any data that you enter into TalentLyft.

Performing reference checks.

Assessing your application against the qualifications and skills needed to perform the job you are applying for.

Communicating with you about the recruitment process (e-mails, phone calls, SMS messages, WhatsApp).

Filling out questionnaires and tests to assess your suitability for the role you have applied for.

Where necessary to fulfil certain legal obligations (such as checking that you may legally work in the jurisdiction that you have applied to work in if your application is successful).

If your application for a role is unsuccessful, with your consent we may also continue to process your personal data for an additional twenty-four (24) months so that we can contact you about other roles that we are advertising that you might be suitable for. If we process your personal data based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. If you wish to withdraw your consent, please contact our Data Protection Officer Ozana Olujić at oolujic@iolap.com.

We will only process your personal data for the purposes we collected it for or for compatible purposes. If we need to process your personal data for an incompatible purpose, we will provide notice to you and, if required by law, seek your consent. We may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent where required by applicable law or regulation.

When you use TalentLyft, you will not be subject to decisions that will have a significant impact on you based solely on automated decision-making.

Your rights in relation to your personal data

It is important that the personal data that we hold about you in TalentLyft is accurate and current. After you submit an application via TalentLyft, you will have access to the TalentLyft Portal, within which you will be able to check the personal data that we hold about you and request it to be corrected if it is inaccurate.

By law you may also have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data that we hold about you via TalentLyft, if you cannot access this information yourself via the TalentLyft Portal (commonly known as a “data subject access request”);
  • Request erasure of the personal data that we hold about you via TalentLyft, if there is no good reason for us to continue to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete your personal data where you have exercised your right to object to processing (see below);
  • Object to processing of your personal data via TalentLyft where we are relying on a legitimate interest and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground;
  • Request the restriction of processing of your personal data via TalentLyft. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data, for example if you want us to check its accuracy;
  • Request the transfer of your personal data to another party.


In the TalentLyft Portal, you can request the export or deletion of your personal data (including deletion of your profile). If you would like to would like to review, verify, correct, request erasure of your personal data, object to the processing of your personal data, restrict the processing of your personal data or request that we transfer a copy of your personal data to another party, and you are having trouble doing any of this via the TalentLyft Portal, please contact iOLAP’s Data Protection Officer.

Data security, transfers and retention 

Access to any of your personal data that is stored on TalentLyft is limited to those iOLAP employees who participate in the candidate selection process. Your personal data is also stored within the European Union, and TalentLyft has appropriate physical, technical and organizational measures in place to ensure that your personal data is secured to the highest level of technical standards and practices.

Some of your personal data may be accessed by iOLAP employees based in the United States or other jurisdictions that may not be deemed to provide the same level of data protection as your home country. Where required by applicable law, we have implemented appropriate measures to secure the transfer of your personal data to the United States and other jurisdictions.

Your personal data will be saved until the end of the selection process for the open position which you have applied for, unless you provide us with consent to keep that personal data for an additional period of twenty-four (24) months to keep you updated on new job opportunities.
